dress your shape.

This blog is for all of the brides that don’t know where to start when they are looking for their perfect wedding dress. The five different shapes that I will be explaining are slender, hourglass, pear shaped, well endowed, and petite.

The following pictures and descriptions will give you an example of what kind of dress will fit the right shape of body.  I hope this helps the brides out there that are looking to find the perfect wedding dress!!

Slender – The body type that is straight from top to bottom is tricky to create the illusion of a curvier figure. You will want to pick a dress that has a waistline and a mermaid style or ball gown would be ideal.

Hourglass – This shape is for those women who tend to have boobs and a butt. To make both of them look perfect, you will want an A-line dress because it will make you look taller but at the same time, make your waist look smaller. Also, my having a dress that isn’t loose will slim you down, because if you have a loose dress, it will only make you looker bigger then are already are.

Pear Shaped – If you are the shape that you carry most of your weight in your lower half and have a small upper body, you will want to look for a dress that has an A-line skirt. This will highlight your waist area and it will appear that you hips and thighs will be smaller.

Well Endowed – The key to making this kind of shape look perfect is choosing the right neckline. By having a soft V neckline or a sweetheart neckline are very flattering choices. If you were to have a high neckline, you bust will only look bigger.

Petite – Because this shape of body is a smaller figure, you will want a dress that will elongate your small frame. By making this illusion, you will want to choose a dress that has long and vertical lines. An umpire waist will also elongate your body and your legs will appear taller.

For all of the dresses, body figures, and descriptions of each shape, I gathered the information from a website called www.weddingdresses.com. You can also find other information on that website like wedding rings, the new styles and trends, tips for your bridal party and of course tons of information on wedding dresses! It is a great website!!
